Went to splash for a double birthday dinner (my mom's belated and my upcoming)
They were so sweet and wrote happy birthday on our plates.
The food was nothing short of perfection.
Our appetiser was scampi fried oysters which were heavenly
My wife had the clam chowder, fillet mignon, scallops, mashed potatoes and green beans
I had the fillet mignon and lobster tail with rice and green beans
My mom had the clam chowder, asparagus and scallops.
For dessert we shared a creme brulee and took a key lime cheesecake to go.
I'd come back a million times if I could!
Stopped for a birthday dinner and had a really nice time.
The food was really good, we tried the Crab Cakes, Oysters Rockefeller, a seafood pasta and miso salmon. All were very nice.
The price was a little high for the quality however, just seemed a bit stretched on a few of the offerings for sure. Drinks as a whole were about 14-18 dollars which seems a bit much.
The decor seemed a little dated but still a great spot for a date.
The service was excellent and attentive and waitress was more than happy to take on any requests.
The chocolate cake with ice cream added at the end was fantastic.
I had an amazing and delicious food at this place. I ordered the anniversary special red snapper.I had red snapper in other restaurants in the past but the portions that I ordered here was specialty ones. They mixed lightly breaded red snapper with fried saffron, stirred mushrooms and lettuce, and fried noodles with their seasoning.
It was a great combination over the rice.
Hope you also enjoy this cozy historical and spacious place with their remarkable foods.
I recommend reservations ahead of your visit even during weekdays
If you want to spend 200 dollars for tuna helper and some drinks when you are ordering lobster Mac and cheese. Adding fish to something that’s supposed to be shellfish is not a wise decision. We have eaten here before, we have ordered these things multiple times and enjoyed them. Corners have been desperately cut and the quality of the food has declined drastically! My lobster bisque had shrimp and fish in it. We enjoyed the he escargot and the drinks, our server did a wonderful job. The food really needs desperate attention.
I had just returned from a 6-week homeopathic cancer treatment and was craving crab legs.
My husband said, "Pick a place," as we were leaving the airport.
We had not yet heard of Splash as we live about an hour away. The reviews looked amazing, and so did the meals, so we find our way there.
From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. I looked and felt like I'd been through a storm. I should mention that I had been up since 4 a.m., and it was nearly 7 p.m. All day on planes and in airports isn't as appealing as it once was...
Our waitress was fabulous, and the food was even better! My husband is originally from Massachusetts and an oyster fan. His comment, "They're as good or better than any I've ever had."
He had the shrimp platter - I say platter because they were HUGE and so was the plate.
My king crab was almost as big around as my wrist and positivity the best I've ever had! Even though I was beyond exhausted, I'm normally able to do significant damage to a plate of crab. This time, I had to take one leg home.
We finished our meal by sharing 1/2 of a cream brulee. It was delicious, topped with fresh strawberries and easily big enough to share... even if you're not already stuffed with crab legs or shrimp...
The Congratulations on my plate was a big deal to me... I received my "Cancer-free" news only days before.
This was our first visit but it won't be our last!!!
The atmosphere was very relaxing and interesting. Our meal was some of the best seafood we have had in a long time. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner on our way out. Told many fish stories and discussed a lot of Pole Vaulting. It was a very pleasant experience! Thanks for a great time, Mike and Cheryl Cockerham
It seems like a popular spot. However its definitely showing its age; the decor struck me as the kind of place that was popular in the mid-90's. Fish tanks everywhere but some were a little murky.
The martini was well made and the key lime pie was dynamite. The lobster bisque was one of the better that I've had specifically for the large chunks of lobster.
Staff seemed a little stretched. I observed the bartenders arguing about who was going to restock something--that was a little awkward. The wait staff were nice but not overly welcoming.
It was nice to experience a popular spot but neither the food nor the ambiance was particularly memorable. Maybe time for a decor and menu refresh?
We came here on a short trip out of town for our anniversary. I booked it ahead of time and had no issues doing so. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the atmosphere was also great. They added some personal touches to the menu and even to our plates for our anniversary which we appreciated the gesture and definitely added to the whole experience!
